I can't sleep in silence
I have to have music
Or a fan humming
To drown out the reeling
Inside of my head
Twisting and turning
Pulling me away
From rationality
Confusing my reality
With past mistakes
And future heartaches
And the endless scenarios
Of what could have been
Or what might become
And how it all might end.
I just can't sleep in silence.
